NOTE: Some listings in the Freddypedia contain lists of the pictures of the character or items described in the listingsby Kurt Wiese in the books. These are identified by a letter code for each book and the page number or book location code where the picture is located in the 1990s Overlook Press editions of the books.

The book location codes (where page numbers are not given) are:

CVR (Cover, illustration on the front of the cloth cover of the book)
DJCVR (Dustjacket, illustration on the front cover of the dustjacket of the book)
DJLFLP or DJRFLP (Left or right dustjacket flap, illustration on the left or right dustjacket flap.)
ENDPR (Endpaper, illustration on the endpapers of the book)
FRNTSPC (Frontispiece, illustration facing the title page of the book)
SPN (Spine, illustration on the spine of the cloth cover of the book)
TTL (Title page, illustration on the title page of the book)
